Henri IV -King of France (Born Dec. 13, 1553, Pau, Béarn, Navarra — died May 14, 1610, Paris) First Bourbon king of France (1589 – 1610) and king of Navarra (as Henry III, 1572 – 89), one of the most popular figures in French history.
Comparing French and American histories, there are many similarities between the lives of Abraham Lincoln and Henri IV. They were both raised in a very modest fashion, they ruled their respective countries during very troubled civil wars, they were both very human and outstanding leaders, they both united their countries, and also favored the working and lower classes. |
